It hosts one of the few elevators in the 95361, and its chandeliers and columns are just some of the items which make the Almond Pavilion unique to the area. Now under new management and ownership, the 151 S. Sierra Ave, Oakdale, location is seeing positive promise by way of clientele.

“We are trying to become all-inclusive and take it in that direction,” said facility manager Faviola Hsu.

According to Hsu, there was only one event on the books when new ownership took over the facility in early spring. Since that time they have close to 25 confirmed bookings through October 2019. Ninety percent of those are weddings.

“We’re willing to work with anyone’s budget, basically,” she continued, “because everyone loves it so much.”

In addition to adding some flexibility to the pricing, a third story space is being converted to a Bridal Suite.

“Just a really nice place for them to come and relax before the wedding,” Hsu said of the suite space and its intention.

Plans are also in the works to enclose the outdoor patio area as an extension of the facility for guests.

As the manager meets with potential clients she’s experienced surprise by many of the well-maintained building and the amenities offered.

“A lot of people don’t even know it exists,” she said, noting that the exterior has been deceiving for some.

Overall, it’s the client experience which brings the manager the most joy.

“Seeing everyone’s faces the day of and everything come together, that’s my favorite,” Hsu stated.
