Ag Lunch, Testicle Festival Slated
Chamber of Commerce

This week will be a busy one for the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, with a couple of signature events on the schedule.

The 45th annual Oakdale Ag Scholarship Luncheon and Trade Show is coming up on Thursday, March 22 and the 37th annual Testicle Festival will be served up on Monday, March 26.

The Oakdale District Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau will host the Ag Scholarship Luncheon on Thursday, March 22 at the Oakdale Joint Unified School Farm, 8417 Crane Road in Oakdale.

Topic for the day will be “Down on the Farm” with Oakdale High’s Agricultural Advisors and students of FFA on hand to explain what goes into getting an animal ready to show and how to show. An update of the farm development will also be presented by Superintendent Marc Malone.

Viewing of the agricultural-related vendor booths begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by a luncheon prepared by Medlen’s House of Beef. Tickets are available at the Chamber office for $25 per person. There will be a silent auction with all proceeds raised to benefit the Oakdale Chamber Ag Scholarship Fund.

Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber office, at 590 N. Yosemite Ave., or contact the Chamber at 209-847-2244 or fax 209-847-0826.

Also, get a unique taste experience and ‘have a ball’ at the annual Oakdale Testicle Festival, co-hosted by the Chamber in cooperation with the Oakdale Rotary Club. Rocky Mountain Oysters, or bull testicles, will be served up as the main dish of the evening, with the dinner hosted at the FES Hall on North Lee Avenue.

Tickets, $65 in advance, are available from Oakdale Rotarians, at the Chamber office and at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club. The tickets include a hosted bar, which begins at 6 p.m., and the dinner, with serving starting at 7 p.m.

If available, tickets will be $75 at the door.
