The City of Oakdale has announced an additional road closure coming up this weekend.

As part of the ongoing South Yosemite Avenue Surface Improvement Project, crews will close the East J Street and South Yosemite Avenue intersection from Sunday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 6 at 6 a.m.

During the overnight construction, the intersection will be shut down and traffic will be detoured to South Street and Sierra Avenue. The closure is being scheduled for the overnight hours in hopes of limiting the impact to traffic. Motorists are to use alternate routes; if you need to use this route, allow extra time.

Meanwhile, South Yosemite Avenue itself remains closed from F Street to J Street for the surface improvement work, with occasional additional side street closures and re-routing of truck traffic. Again, the Starbucks drive-thru for the East F Street store is open, allowing brief access on to South Yosemite from the drive-thru.
