Birthday greetings for November go out to: Bob Brunker, Jr., Phil Frymire, John Krick, Alex Krippner, Roger Ray, Elise Seeds, Bill Carr, Bill Higgins, Ben Cassinetto, Wyatt Dickens, Elissa Simons, Megan Miller, Tristan McCarthy, Megan Willis, Taylor Witzke, Alexa Boyajian, Alyssa Sisco, Dayne Sturtevant, Jenna O’Neil, Gage Perry and Ashlynn Henry.

Knights Ferry School held their assembly for the Jog-a-Thon results last Thursday. Megan Peterson and her committee did a great job and the students raised over $6,000, going toward field trips, supplies and iPads. Winning the Spirit Award was the 7th and 8th grades. Winning a pizza party for collecting the most money was the Kindergarten. The winning laps, boys and girls were: 8th grade- Tyden Baker and Rilyn Cassaretto, 7th grade- Matthew Wolf and Jazzlynn Velasquez, 6th grade- Drake Heffington and Marcada Baker, 5th grade- Luke Dickens and Dakota Voortman, 4th grade- Vincent Peterson and River McCarthy, 3rd grade- three way tie-Levi Dickens, Austin Sherley and Carson Sundberg and Madison Watson, 2nd grade- David Kouassi and Lily Sturtevant, 1st grade- Joshua Meceira and Maddie Dickens, Kindergarten- Weston Sundberg and Ashlyn Henry. They received medals for their effort.

On collecting money from their Jog-a-Thon sponsors, Trexler Porter collected the most money and by grade –K- Taylor Witzke, 1st grade– Holly Conde, 2nd grade– Trexler Porter, 3rd– Aubrey Mendonca, 4th– Deagan Sweet, 5th– Breanna Banks, 6th– Makena Mendonca, 7th– Matthew Wolf and 8th– Kaeli Sweet. Congratulations! Winner of the bicycle drawing was Marcada Baker.

Don’t forget the Thanksgiving dinner put on by the Junior High of KFS. This is open to the community and starts at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25th at the clubhouse.

At the KFS School board meeting last Thursday, Kristy Rapinchuk from Oakdale High School spoke on the articulation on math between Knights Ferry and Oakdale High School. CSU and UC math requirements in high school are Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. OHS also offers a 4th year of math.
