Congratulations go out to former Knights Ferry and Oakdale High student Jacob Barber, DDS, on joining Dr. Baker and Dr. Cadra in their dentistry practice in Modesto. Jake completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Highland Hospital/Alameda County Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. Welcome back Jake!

Your reporter has stopped gardening as of last Thursday. A rattlesnake slithered into the flowerbed and we could not get it so - NO gardening.

Eunice Muniain Gire and her husband Sid from Richland, Washington, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Oakdale Episcopal Church where they were married 50 years ago. Son Steve and his wife Sarah and daughter Julia came from Seattle and son Dan and his wife Michelle and their triplets came up from Mesa, Arizona. The Muniain family had a great get-together.

Lee and Mary Sue Shearer enjoyed having lunch with son Jeff, his wife Lisa and grandchildren Wyatt and Sterling. They were in Turlock working at the Rodeo at the Stanislaus County Fair.
