The 49th annual Pumpkin Roll day started with breakfast at the Odd Fellows Hall, craft fair, goodies for sale all over and food. The day was sunny and warm this year. The town was very crowded and also there was a bicycle race through the upper streets. Hopefully next year the race happens on another day! What a mess! Winners of the roll by age group were: Girls 0-5 Josephine Webster who got the pumpkin 6 1/2 inches from the line. Boy 0-5 winner was Trex Porter. These children rolled on the tennis court. The Senior category was next on the street. Bill Martinelli won the men’s and Jennie Chadwick won the women. In the Youth category, Abby Monroe won for the girls by rolling her pumpkin right on the line! For the boys, Vincent Peterson won (Bill Martinelli’s grandson). In the Teen category, Joshua Barrera won for the boys and Hanna Holland won for the girls (Bill Martinelli’s granddaughter). Amy Noon won for the Women and Randy Pierson won for the men. Winners received a genuine simulated gold trophy. It was a fun day!
