At the Knights Ferry School Board meeting all were happy that Prop 30 passed. There should be no mid year cuts. The Board approved the Governance and Protocol Handbook, the proposal for Actuarial study and approved keeping the Conflict of Interest statement in the district, not the county. The Board also changed the meeting time. A closed session will be at 6:00 p.m. and the regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. This way the Board can report on the closed session at the meeting. There will be minimum days the 13th through the 19th for parent conferences.

Last Saturday Ray McCartney received the rank of Eagle Scout at Knights Ferry Community Club, his Eagle Scout project. Some Community Club members and lots of scouts and families of Troop 7 attended the Eagle Recognition Ceremony. Ray organized the painting of the clubhouse and thought it would be nice to have his ceremony there. After the ceremony, a lovely diner was served.

Community members-don’t forget the Feast on Tuesday, November 20th put on by the Knights Ferry Seventh and Eighth Grades. It will be at the clubhouse at 11:00 a.m. Every year the students do this as a community service project. The food is good and the students are glad to be doing this for the community!
