Will Hoeffer, grandson of Bill and Kay Martinelli, graduated from Priest Run High School in Idaho. Bill, Kay, Megan Peterson and sons James, Troy and Vincent and daughter Hanna Holland, Tasha and Jason Sweet and son Deagan and daughter Kaeli, and Will’s sister Rossi Hoeffer from Texas, all carpooled to Idaho for the occasion. Will’s mother is Mickie Martinelli.

At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting a thank you note was read from the KFCC Scholarship recipient, Marissa MacDonald. Jolene Thompson, Orange Blossom 4-H leader, spoke on the need for a larger meeting place as the club has grown to 70-80 children. The club voted on letting the 4-Hers use the club on a trial basis, paying for the use. Miles Shuper talked on having a car show to raise funds and a committee was formed. Fred Dolling spoke on the history of the Odd Fellows and their local activities. Maize Brown spoke on the Rebekahs and what they stood for and their local activities. The annual club picnic will be July 3rd at the pecan grove in the Army Corp Park at 6:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School will be held at the Community Church June 26-28 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The theme is “Everywhere Fun Fair.”

Knights Ferry School students honored for their 3.5-3.9 GPA were: Elise Seeds, Dylan Anderson, Tyden Baker, Hayden Cassaretto, Destiny Machado, Austin Santillo, Tate Cassaretto, Dakota Voortman, Mikali Willis, Matthew Wolf, Brooks Bonde, Angel Limon, Salvador Limon, Luke Dickens, Haley Page and Kylee Sisco.
