Welcome to Knights Ferry Chris Ingham and son Nick and daughter Kristy. They are renting Gregg Haskell’s house from Anna. They were good friends of Gregg.*****The results are in from the He Man contest held recently at the Phil Frymire’s home. First place went to Dave Rorabaugh, Ronnie Harris took second place and third place went to Larry. The dart contest at a previous party was won by “Soda.”*****Welcome to the world Colton William Roen, born June 30 to Eric and Kim. He weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces. Welcoming him home are big brothers Eron and Brian.*****Congratulations Ed Viohl and Darla Moon – they are engaged. The wedding is planned for September 25th.*****At the recent meeting of the Knights Ferry History and Museum Associates, a firm date was set for the Peddler’s Faire next year. Because Easter falls on the last Sunday of the month, the Faire will be held May 1, 2012.*****Last Wednesday night at the River’s Edge, Vira Segni and Darla Moon celebrated their birthdays. Vira also celebrated being out and about after her knee replacement surgery. Owen Haskell christened the new handicap ramp to the deck at the River’s Edge. He maneuvered his scooter just fine up the ramp. The new deck will seat 100 and is very nice. The Randy Mandy Band (Randy Russell and Amanda Wright) was the entertainment for the evening. Linda Cassinetto’s children Beth and Steve were visiting and joined in the fun.*****Randy Russell (see above) was chosen to be the new Junior High teacher at Knights Ferry School. He is looking forward to the job and plans to incorporate music into the curriculum.*****A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 24 for Helen Smith’s son Scott. It will be at the River’s Edge from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.*****The Municipal Advisory Council will meet Thursday July 22 at the clubhouse at 7:00 p.m. *****Lee and Mary Sue Shearer motored in “Gertie” to Waterford to a picnic with the Oakdale Model A Car Club. It was a warm trip!
