Knights Ferry News for April 10, 2013

After the much-needed rain the Ferry is looking like spring, with the lilacs, wisteria and spiraea blooming, the birds singing and the day-trippers enjoying the town. Last Sunday’s breakfast was enjoyed by many, with good food and friendly diners.

Condolences go out to Gerna Grohl and family on the death of her son Mike. He leaves behind a wife, Robin and two boys.

Pat Johnson was the recipient of the “Birthday Song” at the 50’s Roadhouse.

At the Community Club meeting it was reported that the spaghetti dinner raised more money this year than before. Treasurer Lisa Dolling paid the insurance bill with the proceeds.

Condolences go out to Tony Taro and family on the death of his wife Clara. Clara and Carol Davis were first cousins.

The Knights Ferry School Board will meet Thursday, April 11th at 6:30 at the school cafeteria.
