At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting the attendance was sparse but the food was good. The Superintendent/Principal of Knights Ferry School spoke on the school’s Comprehensive Safety Plan. The schools are required to have an evacuation plan so “Dr. J” asked if the clubhouse could be used in an emergency situation. The club had already said the clubhouse could be an emergency shelter and approved the school’s idea. Under old business Jason Sweet reported on signs that could be put in the park welcoming visitors and listing the activities in the town. John Pfefferle reported on getting aprons for members working at community events. He was given the approval to order them. Under new business, President Chris Peterson reported that the bathrooms have new faucets and the toilets new innards. The club decided on the carpet for the stage and the sanding of the floors will be done later.

The Knights Ferry Oak Grove Cemetery was full of mourners Saturday as Phil Frymire was laid to rest. Pastor Henry Raven led the service. Afterwards the procession to the clubhouse was led by a Dixieland group playing down the hill and at the clubhouse. Good food and many memories were shared.
