Dakota Voortman has officially left for college! She flew with her parents, Heather and David Voortman to Kansas where she will attend Bethel College. Dakota has been a staple community member since they first moved here when she was only 4 years old. She has helped with numerous community clean-ups, serving for activities held by the Community Club, Miller’s Hall, and Knights Ferry School. Dakota has also been a familiar face in her family’s Knights Ferry Creamery for years.

The Knights Ferry Music Festival held at the 50s Roadhouse is fast approaching! The festival is on September 3, 2022 and gates open at 11am. Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers, a ZZ Top tribute band, will headline with other great bands including Borderline, Weekend at Jimmy’s, Triple D, SUNDUST, and Whiskey Skulls. There will be vendors and food available for sale. They invite attendees to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the day. Get your tickets on their Event Brite website for $25 each.

With school back in session, the Knights Ferry Creamery wants to remind the Bobcats of Knights Ferry School to come down for a $2 scoop of ice cream during Happy Hour! Happy Hour is on Fridays and available to all current Knights Ferry School students. Happy Hour was created when Dakota Voortman and Breanna Banks always wanted ice cream in kindergarten and their parents thought it would be a great reward saved for Fridays. It caught on and soon the Creamery was packed full of Bobcats enjoying their ice cream Fridays!
