Knights Ferry News
Knights Ferry

There are many reasons to love Knights Ferry but the ODD Fellows are proving to be one of my favorite reasons. Last Wednesday, they opened their doors to Knights Ferry school families and served them a hot pancake breakfast. Not only did it send kids to school with warm pancakes in their bellies, but it was a good time for families and friends to enjoy one another’s company. How many of us actually sit at the table as a family and eat breakfast or even eat as friends? It was a great reminder to be intentional about our time with our loved ones and even our friends in the middle of chaos! Thank you Fred Dolling and Rick Feichter for waking up early and cooking breakfast!

The Knights Ferry School Christmas program was a fantastic performance! Natalie Brockman planned and directed an unforgettable show, Bev Noe played the piano for many songs, and we even had a visit from Santa. The school opted to do two performances to better accommodate the growing number of friends, families, and community members. The program was a walk-through of the traditions and history of Christmas all around the world. The Junior High class narrated, adding skits and a bit of humor to keep the crowd fully entertained. Each class sang a song and donned costumes to really take their songs home! Emmy Watson sang “Hallelujah” with an acoustic accompaniment by Kaden Coker.

Mickie Martinelli married Luke Stauss on December 11, 2017 in a private ceremony in Oklahoma. Best wishes on this wonderful journey, as they build their new lives together!
