David Simons is recovering nicely from hip replacement surgery.

The funeral service for Ted Kassahn will be June 17th at the Elks Lodge in Sonora from 1-4p.m.

Pat Ramont Johnson’s son Will, his wife Anna and daughter Violet, e-mailed pictures to Pat from their trip to Dinosaur National Park. They showed Dinosaur footprints, lots of them. Also showed some beautiful scenery. Pat said they are having a great vacation.

Former Knights Ferry student Matt Nicolaysen graduated from Kelley School of Business with a Masters of Business Administration.

At the meeting of the Knights Ferry Community Club, Treasurer Lisa reported on the Car Show. So far the club has cleared over $6,000. This will help on the upkeep of the clubhouse, as the termite bill was large! Ric Feichter, representing the MAC, told of the speed humps and the need of the town folks to OK the project. There is no cost to Knights Ferry and there will be two humps to slow down the speeders through the town. Patty Muniain spoke on the Oak Grove Cemetery and the plots that have no living relatives to keep the plot neat. She thought maybe a workday to clean this fall.

At Sunday breakfast in the Ferry it was good to see Angie Martinelli who is here with her three boys Pete, Jake and Luke, while waiting for a new assignment in the States. Also enjoying breakfast was Gail Altieri whose pancake was shaped in a happy face.

Congratulations to Thor Hoefer on his 86 score at the PBR in Prescott Valley.
