At the MAC meeting, Carol Davis from the History and Museum Associates brought the parade permit to be signed off on the Peddler’s Faire. California Highway Patrolman Brandon Everett introduced himself and will be the representative to the MAC. Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Chief Matt Daly said there are new signs on the fire trucks and a new sign on our firehouse. The firehouse was inspected by OSHA and fined for not having an air exhaust system to rid the firehouse of fumes from the engines. They are working on the problem. Evelyn Starman from the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors introduced herself. She works for new Supervisor Kristin Olsen. Town storm damage was discussed. The two trees behind the Phone Building were leaning into the lines so the county took care of them. Voortman’s basement flooded from the road drainage (not the first time).
