The Orange Blossom 4-H is going to have a drive-through enrollment for their monthly meeting in October. They are inviting members to come dressed in costume and decorate their cars to get in the Halloween spirit! Love Knights Ferry will be Saturday, October 24 at 8am! Bring your fall-yardwork tools and be ready get your hands dirty with other locals and friends. Everyone will meet in front of the Community Club.

Knights Ferry School has begun their on-campus learning. On Mondays, the entire school is online together and then half the student population attends school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the other half attends school on Wednesdays and Fridays. On the days they do not attend on-campus school, the students log into their Google Classroom to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and so the teacher can take attendance. For each on-campus morning, the students exit their car and get temperature checked before going to their classroom and each class is broken down into smaller pod like groups to allow for better social distancing. Even though it is not exactly back to normal, the students and staff members are all working together to make it a positive experience. I, for one, am very proud of the staff for stepping up to the challenge of education in the year 2020!
