Happy Father’s Day to all the Knights Ferry dads! Remember to call your loved ones on Sunday. Some people feel that holidays such as these are Hallmark holidays but it doesn’t hurt to show a little extra love and kindness!

A group of Knights Ferry Junior High students and adults flew to Washington, D.C. for their long-awaited trip to the east coast. After two years of fundraising, they boarded a 6 a.m. flight out of Sacramento ready to see some incredible sights.

On Monday, June 25 at 8:30 a.m., the school needs help putting together their brand-new desks for the upcoming school year. Please bring a screwdriver and come help if you’re free! They are simple to assemble.

The American Veterans First presents the Not Forgotten Classic Car and Motorcycle Show on June 16 at the 50’s Roadhouse. It is sure to be a bright and sunny day but perfect for a Saturday activity with the family!

The activity on the river was busy because it was a gorgeous weekend but it was a quiet weekend for river rescues, likely from lower river flows and people practicing safety on the river. The river flow is projected to be at a lower rate of flow for the rest of the summer but as always, wear a life jacket!

The meeting was well attended with a few new faces. The Community Fourth of July picnic is July 5 at 6 p.m. at the Community Club. The Club has asked everyone to bring a dish to share and they will provide the hot dogs, chips, punch, and utensils. Mark your calendars for a great community gathering!

AirMedCare sales manager, Donald Gatz was the speaker for the evening. AirMedCare is a medical air transport for emergency situations. For an annual fee service, if your emergency requires a helicopter ride by AirMedCare, the service is covered.

Kim Roen shared that she is putting together an afterschool Kids Club, equipping kids with moral integrity. Armed with the Armor of God to help them handle different life situations at all stages of life. Once a week, the group will partake in praise and worship songs, talk session, journal time, craft, and other activities. Any interested volunteers and children should contact Kim Roen via text at 209-988-1389.
