Easter Sunday started with the traditional Sunrise Service at the Frymire ranch. Matriarch, Carmen Frymire announced it was the 43rd year they had invited the community to their home. There was purple fabric draped across the cross and flowers decorated the base while Pastor Henry gave a brief sermon and Charilyn Damigo led worship music. The view from the Frymire ranch hillside is beautiful on its own but the sunrise over the distant mountains is the icing on the cake!

Knights Ferry School is officially out for Spring break! The last day of school was filled with Easter parties and egg hunts for each class. The kindergarteners had a visit from the Easter Bunny and the second graders had a bunny hopping-relay race. Thank you to our local “Easter Bunny” friends who put bunny footprints all the way up the hill to the school. The kids (and adults) enjoyed following the bunny footprints all the way to the school fire lane!

At “Back to School Night” the Masons announced the winners of the essay contest. The first-place winners were, Tristan McCarthy (5th grade), Lupita Pineda (6th grade), David Chiara (7th grade), and River McCarthy (8th grade). Congratulations to all the winners!
