Knights Ferry News 12-11-19

The Knights Ferry Community Club held their annual Christmas dinner last Thursday. Friends gathered for a hot turkey and ham dinner and the Club was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. A choir group from Oakdale High School entertained the crowd with traditional Christmas songs and shared some of their own parodies. It was both entertaining and heartwarming to hear some of my favorite songs such as “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”.

The Knights Ferry Community Church is on their second week of lighting the advent candles. Last week, they spoke about hope and this week, they spoke about peace. This is a beautiful tradition where the kids get to be involved under the direction of Heather Wright.

Be sure to pick up your holiday stamps for Christmas cards at the Knights Ferry Post Office. Purchasing stamps, you can help keep the historic Post Office open. They have a beautiful selection of holiday stamps! The Post Office is full of personal touches of history but my favorite detail is the treat container for dogs. It is a very friendly place to stop in and send off packages or buy stamps.
