Oakdale will be hosting its Fall Household Hazardous Waste and Recycle Day on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 8 a.m. to noon, staged at the Public Services Corp Yard at 455 S. Fifth Ave., Oakdale.
A number of items will be accepted at the event, including all sizes of tires, as well as mattresses and box springs with twin, full, queen, king and futon mattresses all accepted.
Household hazardous wastes that will be accepted are used oil, paint, car batteries, antifreeze, and sharps. Electronic waste will be accepted as well, including computers, monitors, TVs, keyboards, cables and microwaves.
The site will not take bulbs, ink, large printers or copiers.
Sponsored by the City of Oakdale, the collection day is being hosted in conjunction with Clean California, Caltrans and CalRecycle.
