Halloween House Decorating Contest Hosted Through OES
CONTEST

Local residents are being encouraged to take part in the Halloween House Decorating Contest, being put on by the Oakdale Enrichment Society, OES.

Open to all, you can decorate your house, business, porch, lawn, etc. in your choice of creepy, cool, cute, goofy or scary and have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to a local business.

Décor must be up from Saturday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 31. The more creative, the better, said OES officials. The OES board members will be judging the entries the evening of Friday, Oct. 30 beginning at 6 p.m.

One winner will be chosen, so entrants are encouraged to be creative as possible. OES officials are hoping for a large number of participants, to bring some Halloween spirit to the community.

Go online to the Oakdale Enrichment Society’s Facebook page to complete the online entry form; be sure to read the rules and regulations. Entries are due by Wednesday, Oct. 21 and email the completed entry form to OES at oes95361@gmail.com with the subject title, Halloween House Decorating Contest. There is no fee to enter. Then decorate in your most creative way, whether it is spooky or silly, and leave the decorations up through Halloween for the community to enjoy. Displays, again, should be up and available to view from Oct. 24 through Oct. 31.
