Fair Oaks held its Annual Spelling Bee recently with former sixth grade teacher Keith Burns serving as the Spelling Master. Twenty-six students in fourth through sixth grades participated. Student winners were, from left, Adam Yakligian, fourth grade, first place; Brenna Franca, sixth grade, second place; and Matias Lagunas Valencia, fifth grade, third place. Adam Yakligian will be moving onto the Stanislaus County Elementary Spelling Bee at the end of November.
