Valley Home Joint School District held its eighth grade commencement ceremony on May 21 at the school gymnasium, with eight students graduating.

The graduates were Kevin Blasengym, Abigail Garcia, Iris Gomez, Sierra Haynes, Madison Hernandez, Justina Hicks, Samantha Kerns, and Jose Saldana.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Madison Hernandez and Samantha Kerns. The farewell address was delivered by Sierra Haynes.

The Sam Hartsfield Memorial Award went to Samantha Kerns. Justina Hicks received the Valley Home Teacher’s Association award. Presidential Awards went to Iris Gomez for Presidential Achievement and to Justina Hicks for Outstanding Citizenship.
