Homeschooling is a rewarding educational alternative. It is especially valuable for those families wanting to pass on their religious heritage, family values or personal beliefs to their children. Special needs or high achieving children who do not fit into a typical campus classroom benefit greatly from the one on one work at an individual pace.
“We are fortunate in California to have a great deal of freedom and several homeschooling options,” said JulieBeth Lamb, a local homeschool advocate. “Any family can successfully homeschool. There are many resources available to help make that possible.”
There will be two classes sponsored by Lambpen Homeschool Ministries, taught by a 20-plus year homeschooling veteran to share this information. It is a great opportunity for those who are considering homeschooling, parents wanting to change school direction, or family and friends who have questions and concerns about homeschooling.
Freedom to Homeschool: Introduction to Home Education seminar includes Freedom to decide if homeschooling is right for you, Organizing your home, Understanding your legal options, Freedom to choose resources and approaches, Freedom from testing and days/hours mandates, Freedom in record keeping, Finding support and socialization. It will be offered two different times, Tuesday, July 15 and Monday, Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m.
The meetings will be held at 30545 E. River Road, Escalon and are free but attendees are asked to RSVP to be sure there are enough materials. Email JulieBeth: Cowgirl4Ever@clearwire.net, call 838-6062, or visit https://www.facebook.com/LambpenHomeschoolMinistries/events.
