Elementary students throughout the Oakdale Joint Unified School District participated in Read Across America in observation of the birth of famed children’s book author Dr. Seuss. Shown, students from Oakdale High School made a visit to Fair Oaks Elementary where they shared stories and smiles with the young students. The annual event is hosted the same time each year and is observed nationwide. It is known as one of the largest celebrations of reading in the country.
