Seventh Grade Students Step Back In Time

Oakdale Junior High School hosted its annual Renaissance Faire on Friday, May 11. The all-day theme event is hosted each year for the seventh grade students. The students are encouraged by their teachers to dress in period attire to enhance their experience through attendance at the event.

A variety of stations as well as activities are hosted throughout the day. Students rotated through stations which included: Arms and Armor, Rounders, Falconer, Renaissance Dance, Renaissance Theater, and Song of the Times.

Awards were given to the following students:

Seige Machine: Jonathan Hernandez, Carlos Garcia, Sam Neely and Ervin Rocancho with 110 feet.

Best costumes were: Knight - Nathan Luca; Homemade mail - Nicolette Louisiana and Renaissance dress - Teryn Holcomb.
