Brown Joins Stanislaus County Leadership Academy

Stanislaus County Leadership Academy will be hosting its first class meeting at the Petersen Event Center in Rooms 1 and 2, at 720 12th St., Modesto, on Friday, Sept. 8. This first class will bring together 30 students representing 18 individual high schools throughout Stanislaus County who were chosen after a rigorous interview process. The class includes Oakdale High School student Ethan Brown.

Matt Emerzian will present the Every Monday Matters movement and students will learn valuable communication skills while learning about and dealing with other personality traits during this initial session.

New class members, in addition to Brown, include: Anna Abarca, Stanislaus County Culinary Arts Institute; Dylan Bernardi, Turlock High School; Rachel Blom, Big Valley Grace; Michelle Borges, Hughson High School; Jesse Cooper, Downey High School; Jhaala Curry, Ceres High School; Nathan Day, Pitman High School; Callista Dyt, Orestimba High School; Taylor Eldridge, Turlock High School; Connor Farrow, Beyer High School; Emely Allen Fernandez, Turlock High School; Sophia Furtado, Modesto High School; Alexandria Hammond, Enochs High School; Allison Jensen, Central Catholic; Christian Lee, Hughson High School; Robert Lo, Whitmore Charter; Theo Luu, Riverbank High School; Justin Lynch, Gregori High School; Caleigh Martella, Hughson High School; Christopher Martinez, Beyer High School; Stephanie McClure, Big Valley Grace; Micaela Meyer, Gregori High School; Estaban Munoz, Modesto High School; Adrianna Rodriguez, Enochs High School; Mehr Sahota, Turlock High School; Bailey Vasquez; Hart-Ransom Charter; Irlanda Vela, Waterford High School; Ethan Wetzel, Gregori High School; and Aidan Wong, Gregori High School.

Other events scheduled for the first class include a program titled True Colors with Charmaine Monte Anderson, helping participants to identify their character spectrum; along with a sharing activity and a preview of next month’s leadership session.
