In an effort to support Delta College students and programs, the Delta College Foundation is preparing for a significant fundraising event on Saturday, Oct. 5 on the Delta College campus in Stockton.
Community members are invited to attend the third annual “Black & Gold” gala, or to make a donation. The generosity of donors allows the Foundation to establish scholarships, support student assistance programs, and enhance academic programs.
The event begins with a reception and campus tours at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a program at 7 p.m.; the campus is at 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton.
Students, programs, alumni, and staff will be featured throughout the evening.
“At Delta College, we believe in our students and we believe in our community,” said Delta College Foundation Executive Director Joseph Feneck. “The Black and Gold gala is an exciting opportunity to showcase our college and programs, and to celebrate the meaningful impact our community has – and will continue to have – on our students. We are committed to seeing our students succeed, and hope that highlighting our efforts will increase awareness, strengthen partnerships, and inspire additional support.”
Delta College pumps about $572 million per year into the local economy, according to a recent economic impact report. For every $1 invested in Delta College, society gains approximately $8.80 in benefits.
The College also trains more than 400 healthcare professionals each year to fill critically needed jobs in the community.
“You are cordially invited by the Delta College Foundation Board of Directors to attend our third annual Black and Gold gala, an evening to explore Delta College programs, meet outstanding students and staff, and express our deep gratitude for your unwavering support,” said Delta College Foundation President Harman Ratia.
