Seminar Focuses On Human Trafficking

A ‘Stop Human Trafficking’ seminar co-hosted by the Oakdale Police Department and Center for Human Services is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29.

The event is planned at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale and will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Speakers are scheduled to include Debbie Johnson, CEO, Without Permission; Investigator Tim Redd, Turlock Police; and Detective Don Stilwell, Oakdale Police.

 

Information presented will include how Human Trafficking can impact communities and how you can better safeguard your child on social media. The discussion will cover information that may not be suitable for children under 12 years of age. Attendance by teenagers, however, is encouraged.
