Registered Sex Offender Christopher Michael Munson fled from the Stanislaus County Courthouse on Tuesday, June 5 after becoming aware of new sex crime charges and is now wanted on an arrest warrant with $1 million bail.

Christopher Munson appeared in Stanislaus County Superior Court Tuesday morning on multiple charges from a 2016 Oakdale Police Department case involving firearms violations. Munson was not in police custody at the time of his court appearance. When informed he was going to be taken into custody for Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor under 14, stemming from another Oakdale Police investigation, he ran from the courthouse.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Munson, 41, in the bail amount of $1 million dollars. Munson is wanted for felony firearms and sex crimes violations and remains at large.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Christopher Michael Munson to contact law enforcement immediately.
