An early morning crash on Thursday ultimately resulted in the arrest of a man on two separate charges.
Oakdale Police said multiple 9-1-1 calls came in to the station shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17. The calls were regarding an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Willowood and West F Street. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a male had exited the wrecked vehicle and got into another vehicle that fled the scene of the collision.
While officers were on scene investigating the solo hit and run collision, the registered owner of the involved vehicle called Oakdale Police to report the vehicle as stolen. Officers later learned the driver of the vehicle was Dylan Prasher, 24, who police said is the boyfriend of the registered owner. Prasher was contacted and arrested. Prasher was also found to be a felon in possession of pepper spray.
He was arrested for Hit and Run and Felon in Possession of Pepper Spray.
