City of Oakdale residents interested in applying for the open City Council seat are urged to fill out their required packet by Friday, Feb. 5, at 4 p.m. in order to be considered for interviews the following week.

Each applicant must fill out an application packet, which can be found on the Oakdale City website at: www.oakdalegov.com.

Interviews will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. at a special council meeting at City Hall, in person.

Following the special meeting, council members voted to resume council meetings in person, with modifications (i.e., required masks and social distancing) for the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The meeting is scheduled a day later than normal due to the Presidents’ Day observance on Monday, Feb. 15.

Councilmember Christopher Smith voiced concern with resuming in-person meetings but the motion passed 3-1.
