Senior Day

Coming up on Friday, June 8, Senior Information Day will be offered at the Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale. There will be informational booths, free health screenings and a complimentary lunch for local senior citizens. For more information, call 209-845-3567.

River Oak Concert

River Oak Grace Church is presenting Hawk Nelson and David Dunn in concert, at the amphitheater on Rodden Road, set for Friday night, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring blankets or low rise beach chairs for seating. Tickets are $20 per person.

Ferry Car Show

The third annual Not Forgotten Classic Car and Motorcycle Show is on the schedule for Saturday, June 16 at the 50’s Roadhouse at 18341 Kennedy Road, Knights Ferry. Entry fee is $25 per vehicle and admission is free to the public. Contact Duke Cooper at 209-863-8480 for more information or to register. The event begins at 8 a.m. and will go off, rain or shine. The show is in honor of Marine Cpl. Michael D. Anderson, Jr. Classic cars and motorcycles of all types are welcome.

Weight Loss Support

All are invited to the weekly meetings of TOPS, Take Off Pounds Sensibly, 1034 that gathers each Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar Ave., Oakdale. Toastmasters Meet

The local REO Speechtrain Toastmasters Club gathers for regular meetings every Wednesday morning, 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Perko’s Cafe, Patterson and Oakdale roads, Riverbank. This is a fun way to learn the self-confidence and skills needed for public speaking. All are invited to come and check out the group. The next meeting will be Wednesday, June 13.
