“Elevating the Climate Conversation Beyond Debate” is Shahir Masri’s topic at the Friday, Oct. 25 public lecture at Modesto Junior College West Campus’s Mary Stewart Rogers building from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

At UC Irvine, Dr. Masri specializes in Air Pollution Exposure Assessment and Epidemiology and has written an outstanding paperback on climate change, “Beyond Debate, Answers to 50 Misconceptions On Climate Change.” It is authoritative yet very comprehensible.

In his “On the Road for Climate Action!” tours he has lectured widely but also has investigated the local climate change impacts that he sees wherever he visits.

This event gets support from Modesto Area Partners in Science; ASMJC; the MJC Foundation; SCOE; MJC; Modesto Teachers Association; and the Great Valley Museum.

Admission and parking are free.
