Monday afternoon, Sept. 11, golfers gathered at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club for the annual First Responders Golf Tournament.

It was a foursome, best ball format tournament and is hosted each year by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce. This year marked the 10th annual event.

Offering some remarks at the opening ceremony was Oakdale Chamber CEO and Mayor Cher Bairos, welcoming players and supporters.

Among those attending were members of the California Highway Patrol, local ambulance personnel, firefighters and other first responders. Singing the National Anthem prior to the foursomes hitting the course was Oakdale High School senior Grace Miller.

There were also contests and prizes, food and drinks, and the chance to enjoy some camaraderie during the tournament.
