Knights Ferry Art Studio, run by Taylar Mason, opened earlier this year and has presented artworks created by many local artists; supporting the local artistic community has been a top priority for Mason. The newest addition to the list of displayed artists in Knights Ferry is Ashley Brunetti, a local artist from Escalon.
The exhibit is titled Bad+Lemon and features works by Brunetti, in her first ever solo show. The show opened Tuesday. Aug. 1 and runs through the end of the month. Brunetti’s works are inspired by the local landscape and everyday life. Symbolism is also used throughout the collection to explore the idea of what it means to “be human”, and invites viewers to have critical conversations about how we, as individuals, process and show emotion.
“My works are intended to touch on subjects relating to emotion and our own human experience, but done in a whimsical way as to allow some level of comfort and lightheartedness,” said Brunetti.
The Knights Ferry Art Studio is located at 17631 Main Street in Knights Ferry, California. Updates for the artist and the gallery can be found on Instagram: @ashleybrunettiart @knightsferryartstudio
