Annual awards dinner served up by Chamber

Lifetime achievement, business kudos, citizen honors and more will all be presented on Friday night, Feb. 23.

The recognition will come as part of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner, set for 6 p.m. at the Bianchi Community Center.

With the theme of ‘Celebrate Those Who Shape Our Community’ the dinner will feature the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Albert L. Scaief. That is the only award announced ahead of time, with the other honorees to be recognized during the evening program.

Additional categories have anywhere from a handful to nearly a dozen nominees.

Awards to be presented and those nominated for them are as follows.

Junior Achievement: Amiyah Lemos, Chalie Kjeldgaard, Grace Miller, Jenna Sanders.

Young Professional: Kayleigh Gilbert, Bri Swan, Eriksen Dickens.

Business of the Year: WHF Inc., Roberts Ferry Gourmet, Tango Kennels, Oakdale Auto Dealers, Dray Heating & Air, ‘Ike Loa Candle Co., Valley View Optometry, Plant Patience, The Oakdale Leader, Noble Kennels.

Non-Profit of the Year: Soroptimist International of Oakdale, Promotoras of FSN, Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, Love Oakdale, PFSA Council 100, Cub Scout Pack 365, Hope 209.

Citizen of the Year: Nicole Tongue, Roxanne Simons, Susan Gonzales, Susan McCarthy, Jason Dillon, Robert “Bob” Crossman, Jaydeen Vicente, Sandi Casey, Trudy Vierra, Austin Sprague, Winnie Mullins.
