Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department announces that citizens can now email information and special request directly to their local Sheriff’s Area Command office.  The Sheriff’s Department decentralized its patrol services earlier this year in order to get officers closer to the neighborhoods.
With the new feature on the Sheriff’s Department website www.stanislaussheriff.com the public can send an email to their local Area Command office.  The emails will go directly to staff assigned to the Area Command office.  Request and information can range from extra patrols request in neighborhoods, vacation home checks, to passing on information about crimes.  “The goal of this feature is the give citizens a direct link to their local deputies,” said Undersheriff William Heyne.
To send an email to your local Area Command office, visit the Sheriff’s Department website at www.stanislaussheriff.com and go to the Area Command link.  Find your local Area Command and email you request or information.
