Pirates Fest Fundraiser Features Beer, Wine And Food Tasting

The Modesto Junior College Athletics Department and MJC Foundation invite the community to the 20th Annual Pirates Fest – Beer, Wine and Food Celebration on Friday, May 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Mary Stuart Rogers Student Learning Center on West Campus, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto.

Tickets are $40 pre-sale and $45 at the door. A special group ticket price of 10 tickets for $300 is also available. The event features regional beers and wines for tasting, accompanied by food samples and a silent auction that includes premium wines, gift certificates, gift baskets and more. In addition, there are sports memorabilia, door prizes and music by “the Valley’s DJ” D. Ferreira. Proceeds benefit the 21 sports in MJC’s Athletic Program.

Beer tasting is provided by Anchor Brewing, Blaker Brewing, Contentment Brewing, Delta Sierra Brands, Dust Bowl Brewing Co., Persuasion Brewing Company and St. Stan’s Brewing.

Wine tasting is provided by Berryhill Vineyards, Bronco Wine Company, CJ Produx LLC, Delicato Family Vineyards, Gallo Family Vineyards, Hatcher Winery, Modesto Grocery Outlet, Rios-Lovell Winery, Silkwood Wines and Wend-Tyler Winery.

A wide variety of cuisine is provided by Chopping Block Butcher Shop and Deli, Concetta, Downey High School Culinary Program, El Marisquero, Fired Up Grill, Fiscalini Cheese Company, Graffiti Dogs, KFC, O’Brien’s Market, P. Wexford’s Pub, Papa John’s Pizza, Ralston’s Goat, Rueb’s Q’in BBQ and Togo’s. Dessert and non-alcoholic beverages are provided by Cheesecake Kitchen, Yogurt Mill, Mocha Magic, Noah’s Water and Starbucks.
