Mark the calendar for a couple of special activities at Micke Grove Park in Lodi, with the final ‘Critter Corral’ gatherings this month as well as Astronomy in the Park on Aug. 18.
The Critter Corral is offered each Saturday and Sunday during August, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; come and visit to meet and greet the farm animals up close and personal. The visits with the animals are free with the price of regular San Joaquin County Historical Museum admission.
On Saturday, Aug. 18, come to Astronomy in the Park, starting inside the Nature Center at Oak Grove Regional Park at 7:30 p.m. Telescope viewing outdoors will follow the indoor activities at the Nature Center There is a $6 parking fee at Oak Grove but no additional cost for the astronomy program.
