For over six years Live Again has been bringing their love of music to fans and audiences all around California. From their array of covers to their own original compositions, the band is always striving for the absolute best. Winners of multiple battles of the bands, Live Again has also been featured on radio stations such as KSCO, KZSC and KPIG. One of their biggest achievements was on Aug. 29, 2015 when they took away the Best Band award for their original song “Every Other Time” at Valley’s Got Talent at The Gallo Center for The Arts.

The Joint Chiefs will also be part of the evening of entertainment and are one of the most versatile and exciting bands currently performing on the Northern California music scene.

Taking the stage at the State Theatre in Modesto on Saturday, Aug. 25, the Live Again performance is scheduled to feature Alex Lucero (vocals, guitar), Ryan Price (bass, vocals), Kenny Kishlansky (saxophone), Tom Bartolero (percussion), Mick Adams (lead guitar, vocals) and Jake McCuen (drums).

Heavily influenced by R&B and Soul of the 1960s and ‘70s, lead singer/front man Lucero showcases his timber and rasp as well as high falsetto in his live and studio performances. Price’s bass playing is unmistakable as part of the Live Again sound and is a crucial element to everything the band plays.

Since their inception in 1990, The Joint Chiefs have built a loyal following based on their live performances as well as their wide range styles and influences. Their sound fuses elements of Funk, Acid Jazz and Classic R&B with their own signature groove. The result is a dance party of infectious grooves. Since members of the band were raised on ‘70s Funk, the band is able to capture the real natural funk feel. They will be featuring Don Caruth (vocals, lead guitar), Daniel Lewis (bass), Bryant Mills (drums) and Bill Biala (saxophone).

Tickets for the show are $27 in advance and $30 day of; doors open at 7 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m.
