music

Presented by Kate’s Rescue for Animals, ‘The Greatest Show That Never Was’ features a Beatles vs. Rolling Stones tribute at the State Theatre, 1307 J St., Modesto on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Doors open and a reception begins at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Proceeds of the evening will benefit Kate’s Rescue, an organization that gives hope and a second chance to ill and abandoned pets of the Central Valley, helping them regain their health, and placing them in loving, caring, forever homes.

The British Invasion brought us the two most popular rock groups of all time, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, as well as the liveliest debate in rock history – which band is the greatest? These two legendary bands will engage in an on-stage, mash-up duel – the greatest battle of the bands that could ever be – featuring internationally renowned tribute bands, 4 Lads From Liverpool and Jumping Jack Flash.

Ticket price includes complimentary beer/wine for those over the age of 21. Admission is $45 in advance or $50 the day of the show.
