Gardening For Beginners Class Slated For February

Register now for an upcoming gardening class for beginners, set for Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Agricultural Center, Harvest Hall Rooms D&E at 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto.

A Spring Vegetable Gardening for Beginners class is being offered by University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Stanislaus County Master Gardener Program on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Agricultural Center, Harvest Hall Rooms D&E at 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto.

Join in for this free, informative class on the absolute basics of vegetable gardening. This class is perfect for those just getting started in raising vegetables. Attendees will learn the basics about soil, gardening tools, fertilizers, and which vegetables to plant in spring. There will also be tips about which vegetables can be grown in containers. Free vegetable seeds will be provided to registered attendees.
