Community Hospice, the oldest and largest nonprofit hospice agency serving the Central Valley, recently announced the appointment of new Chief Clinical Officer, Mrs. Karryn Unruh-Salonen. She joins Community Hospice with over 30 years of clinical and healthcare expertise.

Salonen has served in various leadership roles in the community to promote health and wellness. She recently served as the Director of Clinical Operations for Stanislaus County Health Services Agency since 2015. She also currently serves and will continue to serve as an Educator for Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto.

Salonen attended Loyola University in New Orleans were she received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Fort Hays University in Kansas where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and Modesto Junior College. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of California.
