Nyenhuis, Kamper Celebrate Marriage

David William Nyenhuis of Jenison, Michigan and Bryanna Jane Kamper of Oakdale united as husband and wife on Sept. 4, 2010 in Sonora.

Presiding over the afternoon double ring ceremony was Pastor Joy Bonnema of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ceremony, with 175 in attendance from several states, was held outdoors under a willow tree, followed by the reception at Sierra Glen Ranch in Sonora. The couple also enjoyed a Wedding Celebration in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Aug. 14.

The bride is the daughter of Bryan and Rosemary Kamper of Oakdale. Her gown was a white lace, princess style wedding gown with a deep V-back and delicate lace shoulders. A silver and rhinestone broach was pinned to her waist followed by her flowing train of scalloped lace. She carried a bouquet of colorful russet lilies, fall colored roses and various other flowers. She wore her mother’s diamond earrings and necklace, along with a blue sapphire ring given to her by the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Bryan Kamper of Oakdale.

Rosalee Marcia Kamper of Ontario, California, sister of the bride, originally from Oakdale, was the Maid of Honor. Serving as attendants were Dr. Myron Alan Kamper of Visalia, brother of the bride and Kelsi Lynn Kamper-Van Kuelen of Surrey, Canada, sister of the bride, along with Melissa Wondenberg of New Jersey, Annica Vander Linde of Michigan, friends of the bride.

The groom is the son of Jack and Jane Nyenhuis of Jenison, Michigan. Beside him as Best Man was his brother, Chad Nyenhuis of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Holly Kruis, sister of the groom, from Michigan, and friends of the bride and groom, Phillip Bevely, Kenneth Hoan and Wyatt Kuiper, were the Groomsmen and Groomswoman. Ushers were Walter Silva of Corona and Michael Dirkse of Michigan, friends of the bride and groom.

Carrying an applebag with water and tissues was Malachi Kruis, nephew of the groom, from Jenison, Michigan. Flower girls included Chloe and Ainsley Kruis, nieces of the groom, from Jenison, Michigan.

The bride graduated Salutatorian of her class in 2006 from Ripon Christian School, where she was active in band, choir, tennis and basketball. She graduated from Calvin College in 2010 with a B.S. in Physical Education/Exercise Science. She now attends Loma Linda University in Southern California for her Master’s in Public Health and Wellness. She was born and raised on Claribel Farms, the family dairy.

The groom attended Unity Christian Schools and graduated in 2005. He was involved with theater and snow skiing and snowboarding. He graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2010 with a B.S. in Engineering. He currently attends U.C. Irvine for an M.A. in Engineering with an emphasis in Civil/Transportation. He worked for his parents’ business in Zeeland, Michigan as an engineer.

The couple honeymooned in Maui for eight days. They now reside in Irvine while going to grad school.
