Memorial Day at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery2009
U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Retired Kelly Hammond places one of over 550 flags at the gravesite of a fallen soldier at Oakdale Citizens’ Cemetery. An annual custom hosted by the Oakdale Historical Society in observance of Memorial Day, flags were placed throughout the graveyard to mark veterans’ graves, distributed by a group of volunteers on Saturday.
