Christopher Ribeiro and Ashley Blom have announced their plans to unite as husband and wife.

The couple became engaged in December of 2008. They have plans to wed at the Santa Barbara Mission in August of 2010. A reception is scheduled to follow at the La Cumbre Country Club.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of De Layne Blom and David and Gina Blom. She is a 2003 graduate of Oakdale High School. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. She is currently employed as an ABA Supervisor, overseeing and providing support and treatment for children with autism and related disorders.

The prospective groom is the son of Tony and Jeannie Ribeiro. He is a 1996 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He earned his Bachelors degree in Finance and Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Stanislaus. He is currently employed as a Cost Analyst for Santa Barbara County. His brothers are Jeff, Stephen and Kevin Ribeiro.
