Lots of excitement in the air as the Valley Home P.T.C. members begin to get ready for the Harvest Festival to be held on Saturday, October 24th from 3-7 p.m. We have been given a preview of the booths which are planned for this year’s fun event and it appears there will be lots of fun for everyone in attendance. The food court will be run by Gina (Ferrarese) Betschart this year and they have a tasty menu with great pricing for all to enjoy! Adding to the event fun will be the return of several favorite booths such as Bingo, Cake Walk, Lollipop Pull and Bean Bag Toss. We are told that they will be adding a Tattoo Center along with the Face Painting Booth. New this year Caramel Apples will be sold by our eighth grade class as well as Pick-A-Prize Balloons and Sack Races! Make sure you bring a decorated or carved pumpkin to be judged and help decorate our Festival!

P.T.C. members are taking Pre-Orders for an unlimited play wristband for this event, on sale now for $18, at the gate they will be $20. These bracelets will be at the entrance gate and available via the “will- call” line!

Congratulations go out to Jenna Heaton and Justin Doyle who traveled to Merced this past weekend with their meat goats to compete in the Oktoberfest Jackpot Show. Jenna took several Supreme Goat honors while Justin took the reserve overall champion. It was a huge honor for the two top awards to go to two of our own Valley Home kids. Jenna was also the champion showmanship winner while Justin did very well winning reserve champion junior showman. Great job, we are proud of you both.

This weekend will find the 4-Hers attending a hayride and bonfire thanks to Sophia Martin for setting this activity up for them.
