Enrique and Maritza Gomez of Oakdale welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Valerie Genoveva Gomez, on Sept. 23, 2010. She weighed seven pounds, eight ounces on arrival at Oak Valley Hospital.

The mother is the former Maritza Cerda.

Andres and Genoveva Cerda of Oakdale are the maternal grandparents.

Enrique Gomez and Juanita Cardenas of Modesto are the paternal grandparents.
