Gary Graf, 61, died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at home with his wife Patti and son Keegan surrounding him.

He was a resident of Minden, Nev. for three years and, previously, he lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and Oakdale. He and his wife lived in Oakdale for over 20 years.

After graduating he moved to the S.F Bay Area, working for Stauffer Chemical. He became known as ‘The Guru’ while working for BCS/Univar because of his vast knowledge of the chemical business. He traveled around the world representing BCS/Univar and always gave his knowledge freely of the chemical industry to anyone who asked or needed mentoring.

Mr. Graf was known for his quick wit, smiling face and sense of humor.

He loved to travel and took his wife and son on many vacations around the world. He was a sports fan with his favorite teams being the Green Bay Packers and LA Dodgers.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Patti; son, Keegan; brothers, George Graf, M.D., attorney Gregory Graf; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 at Life Point Church, 1095 Stephanie Way, Minden, Nev., with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in his name to Wake Forest University; or to The River Church, P.O. Box 1505, Oakdale, CA 95361.
